Maximo Park will be dj-ing at Proud Gallery in Camden, London on the 30th November in support of No Surrender.

The No Surrender Charitable Trust has teamed up with Proud Camden to launch a special interactive exhibition, The Art of Music ‘09.

Showcasing original, one-off canvases created by leading musicians and bands exclusively for No Surrender; The Art of Music ’09 will present the only opportunity to view the works, which are to be auctioned in order to raise funds to support the charity’s vital efforts.

You can view a video on the band creating art for the charity here.

Lukas, who will be dj-ing at the event, had this to say: “No Surrender is an excellent charity and we support them whenever we can. Asking us to be creative outside our normal ‘remit’ as musicians can be slightly unnerving, especially in front of a camera, but with ‘The Art Of Music’ No Surrender have taken an unusual approach and created something unique to bring awareness to their cause.”

I visited the Proud Galleries in Chalk Farm,Camden, today to see the exhibition and was very impressed. The canvases were great, and the gallery was lovely, very warm and well lit.I was the only person viewing though, but the receptionist made me very welcome.I bought some wristbands
to support no-surrender and took a leaflet about the charity.
