Srsly, I think my dear friend is just a little bit pissed off … he told me some time ago he's “a little bit in love” with me and I refused him (his love respectively). So he probably tries to piss me off by saying stuff like that. I know for a fact that he's got not just one but both of MP's albums and he secretly thinks they are great, but telling me that “the singer is gay” and weird stuff like that probably makes him feel better.

I reckon it's a male pride thing.
One of my male friends used to make little comments about the guy I was seeing at the time, but he wouldn't actually say that he fancied me until years after, by then he had no chance!!
