Hi Unka,
Thanks for the tip, but I've already tried that without any luck…

Since this is the general section, I thought I'd post my general question here (makes sense)… I've been offered to make a mini-cruise to Newcastle and I'm wondering if the one day we actually get to spend in Newcastle (or rather the 6 hours we get to spend there before we have to get back on the bus back to the boat) will be enough to see the city or if you'd recommend booking a separate trip back and spend an extra day there? It's like 15 hours on the boat both ways so I want to make it a worthwile trip (I guess I sort of already know the answer to my own question but I'd like to hear from some 'Newcastle people' - which I'm sure can be found on this board) Thanks!

I'm not from Newcastle, but I've been there. If you go, I recommend you take the City SightSeeing Bus tour (you can catch the bus at the central train station). That will give you a general idea of the city, and you can pick out two or three things to go back and see.
Is six hours enough? That depends on what will satisfy you. It's enough to see the core of the city. But if you want to explore the suburbs, etc, you'll need somthing like six days.

Thank you Writer - I think I'm just going to take some more time to enjoy the sights then (and perhaps fly instead of taking the ferry :p).

I saw the link on a Paul Smith facebook page and was quite surprised to find a whole concert in such good quality. Very nice!

Hey guys, thought this was the best thread in which to invite you to listen to the new song for my solo music project, if you'd like.
I've just finished it today. Here's the link: http://www.myspace.com/purpleprose6
It's the first one, but they're all of a similar standard. There are some covers on there too.
Cheers!

Everytime I request a song from Maximo Park or vote for them in some sort of list I get called by the radio station, so funny! Maybe they're happy somebody requests these great songs that (unfortunately) they never play that much during worktime on the radio…

Maximo Park (Paul specifically) has the questionable honour of being mentioned on NME this week…

You say questionable, but you have to admit they've got a point.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the nomination is anything but questionable - it's the honour that's questionable ; ) And who cares - jumps are great indeed, voice is great and love the hat (wish he'd dig up the old bowler hat every now and then, though).
