Great minds think alike, Nicola! I was just about to post a similar thread. Good job something delayed me, otherwise I might have become the boards next notorious spammer!
I had a bit of a drama getting tickets as usual… I'm a total gig nut, so I know the score about getting to the site early before they actually go on sale. In fact I'm not doing anything today, and went to bed at Silly O' Clock lastnight, so I put on an alarm specially for our boys… you gotta do these fanlike things.
And lo and behold, my laptop decides to have an internet problem for NO APPARENT REASON, and takes an absolute age to fix… good job I had my handy dandy Macbook to hand!
So got myself a pair of tickets for the Manchester one. I'm so excited about it, although reading your post, I would have thought the Warehouse had a smaller capacity… 2000 sounds like a lot. I don't know how many the Manchester Academy gig had last year, but now I'm worried there'll be a serious hustle for front row! Ah well, any excuse to show up embarrassingly early.
It's just sinking into my head; another glorious night of sweat and euphoric tunes with The Park… *Does over-excited hand chops across the room*

Got tickets for Manchester, feels like forever ago since last seeing them!
I too thought the capacity would be lower after the gigs were labelled 'intimate' but i suppose compared to the other usual Manc venues 2000 is more intimate and wherever Maximo play is more than fine with me.

I was so excited about the prospect of being able to see Maximo Park in an intimate gig in Manchester, until i realised that it's only 18's and over!! I am now extremely heartbroken…..the perils of being a teenager

i was expecting the capacity for Manchester to be less when i saw the The Brickyards capacity, but when i searched for the venue, 2 sites say 2000, another said 1800. its gonna be a room abit bigger than Newcastle Academy and smaller than Manchester Apollo (this is floor space/stalls i'm on about).
anyone know roughtly how long it took Carlise to sell out? i got the correct page up eventually at 9.02, got tix by 9.04 .. went back to it at 9.20 and it was sold out.

Manchester still has tickets.
3 weeks on and this hasn't changed. How come? If there were direct flights I'd be tempted.

And everything I got, best believe I bought it!

I also go to university in Leeds! Great coincidence.
I got a Manchester ticket because it's easy for me to get to. I'm sure you'll know that Leeds train station is a pretty active place with plenty of Manchester trains! It's quite a good little hub, actually, an easy way to get across to other places, much better than trying to navigate by car, especially when you don't know where you're going!

No idea how I'm going to find the venue mind! I don't really know Manchester very well at all, we got mega lost when we went to play a gig down there last.

Agreed…you might even be able to “walk” along the street using Google Maps to see what it looks like. I've done that so that I can recognize the venue when I get there.

I thought it said on the website that The Warehouse is in the basement of the train station? You won't have to go looking for it, apparently it's IN the train station… That's what I read some time ago.

You can't do that on Google Maps, I think that's why people can't find it. If you go on the Warehouse Project site, it explains there. Apparently it's in a disused car park that's underneath Manchester Piccadilly station. I've never been there before, but it can't be that hard to find! I'm sure the staff in the station would be able to direct you, I imagine they'll have had many people looking for it. I'm certainly looking forward to it! Getting closer every day
